Harney & Sons Decaf Assam Loose Tea 112 g / 226 g

I love that I now have a decaf loose tea. It's absolutely delicious and has the true distinct taste of a nice strong tea. However, because I like it, strong, I have to put in two scoops for the pot. Usually, it's one scoop for the pot and one for each person, but that wasn't strong enough for me so the next time I put in two scoops and one for me. It was absolutely wonderful.

As I make my own Chai Concentrate (similar to the Tazo brand) and we drink it both hot and cold all year through every season…I was wanting something authentically “Indian” and according to my research (and personal experience while IN the Punjab on numerous trips to that beautiful country…) Assam is one of their favourites and became my loose leaf of choice for this weekly commitment to keep on hand in the fridge.
Because we drink it day and night I wanted a decaf.
Do you have ANY IDEA how hard it is to FIND a loose leaf decaf Assam?

I like to sweeten and mix evaporated milk with my plain black tea, sort of like an approximation of Hong Kong Milk tea. This can overwhelm wimpy decaf teas, but this stuff can hold up to it. Highly recommend this if you are a reluctant decaf drinker! It’s good quality.

I was trying to find a way to make decaf bubble tea for years and this tea tastes excellent and is a perfect fit for milk tea bubble tea. I also got decaf ceylon but it wasn't as good as decaf assam tea. As with all decaf teas I've tried, the flavour isn't too strong so you need lots for bubble tea.
The price seems quite high for how much you get, and I feel like a lot of the funding went into the beautiful tin.

The three things I look for in a tea have been so difficult to find in one product (good quality black tea, loose leaf, and decaf). This is the only product I've found that fits that bill and it is now absolutely established on my permanent repurchasing list.
